The Membership Committee of the Spring Grove Area Chamber of Commerce supports the Chamber's efforts to develop new members and retain existing members.
Members of this committee also serve as mentors who help to facilitate networking with new members and periodically reach out to members for feedback on membership benefits.
At the Chamber's General Meeting, Membership Committee members will greet and welcome members and guests as they arrive to the meeting.
This committee strives to provide seminars, workshops and other professional development opportunities. Our first workshop was a Small Business Management Series - Business Plan Project in the fall of 2011. This workshop met once a week for five weeks under the direction of Edward R. Jenkins, CPA of Jenkins & Co., LLC. Participants were able to create a business plan or revise an existing business plan.
To encourage networking and building personal relationships, the Membership Committee started holding Thirsty Thursdays the first Thursday of the month. Our first Thirsty Thursday was held in February 2012.
The Membership Committee looks forward to growing the Chamber's membership and providing additional workshops and seminars.
